Built in the 1970s as an entirely purpose-designed resort, Port El Kantaoui somehow avoided the generic. Its whitewashed arcade streets, terracotta rooftops and palm-fringed marina have aged into something genuinely pretty. The beach is one of the cleanest on the entire Tunisian coast, and the morning light on the harbour is worth the drive alone.
